Licensing & Copyright

All Teminite songs, audio files, and associated materials are copyrighted works provided under an All Rights Reserved licence. No rights are granted except those expressly stated below. By downloading or using any of Teminite’s music, you agree to the following terms.

What You CAN Do

You may use Cleared Releases for:

• Personal listening and appreciation

• Non-commercial content (gaming videos, livestreams, school projects, social media) where the song is not the main focus

• Non-monetised YouTube videos - you may receive a Content ID claim, but it won’t affect your channel

What You CANNOT Do

• Use Cleared Releases in commercial or monetised content without a licence

• Upload full songs, lyric videos, or standalone audio to Spotify, YouTube, SoundCloud, etc.

• Remix, sample, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit any releases

• Use any Restricted Release without prior written permission 

Cleared vs. Restricted Releases

• Cleared Releases: Songs approved for non-commercial use as above. Most can also be licensed commercially, see below for more details. Full list at the bottom of this page.

• Restricted Releases: Songs released on a label or with a collaborator. Cannot be licensed directly, as they are controlled by external rights holders, contact us and we’ll try and connect you with the right people. Full list at the bottom of this page.

• Remixes & Covers: Teminite remixes and covers, are not included in either list and cannot be used, downloaded, or licensed under any circumstances. Rights to these recordings are not ours to grant.

Minimum Licence Fee

All licences - YouTube, sync, broadcast, games, film, TV, and any other commercial use, carry a minimum fee of $100 USD per song. Final pricing is determined on a case-by-case basis. Contact us below for a quote.

YouTube Licensing

• Non-monetised videos: Free to use any Cleared Releases.

• Monetised videos: Licences are granted case-by-case based on channel size and how transformative the content is. Upon purchase, your video will be whitelisted, allowing it to be monetised. To purchase a licence, please contact us below with the link to your video. Licences can be granted before or after uploading the video.

• Content ID claims: You may receive a Content ID copyright claim on videos using Teminite’s music. This is not the same as a copyright strike and will not affect your video’s visibility or your channel in any way. The only effect is that the video cannot be monetised. Do not dispute the claim unless you hold a valid licence.

• Credit: All usage of Teminite’s music on YouTube requires crediting in the video description as: Teminite - Song Name

Games, Film, TV & Other Commercial Use

All sync, broadcast, and commercial licences are handled individually. Please get in touch with details about your project and the track(s) you’d like to use, including your budget, estimated audience reach, and company size.

Custom Song Commissions

Teminite is able to create original custom music for films, games, brands, and other projects. Commissions start at a minimum of $15,000 USD, subject to schedule availability. Contact us at the email below with your project details.
